crazy way she thrills me
tell you why
just like a lightning from the sky
theme song;; Lollipop by Ben Kweller
personality;;
When Arisha was a child she was wonderfully carefree. She was bright, happy, prone to bursts of laughter at even the weakest of jokes; and she was the youngest child of a local lord, and thus easily and often overlooked. When the king of Burya asked for her hand it was an exceptional surprise to everyone but her family was quick to trade her in for a kingdom, and Arisha had no choice but to take her husband's ring. She never liked him, although she was far too polite to do anything about it. She quickly realized that the king did not admire her for her spirit or her intelligence but rather her looks; and when she proved to be more independent than he had figured, he grew angry with her. She found refuge in the ladies of the court, the infrequent visits with queens and other royalty; and she wrested a son from the king, Pasha, and that brought her some small joy too. A few years after her son came Katya, an orphan from a local town and Arisha was not so bored any longer, with these two to guard and teach.
It was only when the king unexpectedly passed that Arisha became more like she'd once been. She lost some of the tension that had lined her face early and driven her stiff and formal; and she became gentler, quicker to laugh, quicker to smile. She makes an excellent queen because she is very patient and eager to listen to everyone, and she solves problems justly and promptly. Her kids are both a lot like her in different ways; Pasha inherited her head for the crown, her patience, her ingenuity. Katya learned from their mother to have a steadfast heart and a stubborn hand, and to ignore the rules of decorum. As her children have aged and given her grandchildren Arisha has settled peacefully into her role as queen. She is in no hurry to give up the throne, and Pasha is in no hurry to claim it. Her closest companion is the queen mother of Mikena, an intimidating woman named Hecuba.

call my baby lollipop
tell you why
her kiss is sweeter than an apple pie
occupation;;
queen of Burya Arisha has been queen for a great many years, and under her rule Burya has flourished. She was married to the previous king as a young girl, and after his unexpected and somewhat mysterious death some twelve years later, she became Burya's sole ruler. Initially the people doubted she could do the job--she came from a noble family, sure, but none that had ever had responsibilities such as the crown. Arisha won them over with her sheer determination to make Burya more of a power player among the other countries, and forged a particularly strong alliance with Mikena, which they desperately needed. She remains popular among the people to this day, and receives no pressure from her counselors to give the throne to her son. |
trivia;;
-Pasha is her only blood son; Katya was adopted -she has a mess of grandchildren now and she absolutely loves them all -Arisha was actually involved in her husband's death, just a little -Hecuba is her best friend/secret girlfriend -she mostly enjoys being queen but sometimes the stress gets to her -thanks to her multitude of kids she has more freedom to leave Burya on vacation (and go to Mikena usually) -she's more comfortable in the cold than the heat |
