I'm just a teenage dirtbag baby
listen to Iron Maiden baby with me
theme song;; Teenage Dirtbag by Wheatus
personality;;
An overwhelmingly fidgety boy who is always talking and never still, Marcy is easy to spot in a crowd. He's always got to be doing something, no matter what it is. He's picked up over a dozen little hobbies for the sole purpose of being able to put something in his hands, and is an accomplished artist, knitter, and boxer alike. He has a very short attention span and it's difficult to get him to pay attention for any longer than ten minutes at a time, so it's a wonder that Marcy made it through grammar school at all. Despite his fickle behavior he's always been a reliable learner, and he understands intrinsically most of what he's taught. Even if it looks like he's not listening Marcy can usually recall exactly what someone has told him days or weeks before, and retains an amazing amount of trivia for his friends on various topics. That is not to say that Marcy is good at remembering his own stuff, as he regularly forgets his own scheduled day and shows up everywhere he is meant to be late.
He says pretty much any thought that comes into his head, and he's got absolutely no brain-to-mouth filter, so he's always putting his foot in his mouth and getting in trouble. Marcy is lanky and long-fingered and stick-thin, and has a sense of humor that's gotten him in trouble with more serious people since he's been a kid. It's hard for him to convince himself to do anything that might be good for him, so Marcy generally eats a very bad diet and sleeps terrible hours and doesn't take care of himself at all. Still, there's an odd charm to him that attracts friends, even if they frequently say they're only friends with him because he obviously needs someone to take care of him. Marcy is almost always thinking about something, and occasionally needs to be told things multiple times, especially if it's got anything to do with him. He sleeps poorly even when he bullies himself into bed and generally wiles away his long nighttime hours learning some new skill.

occupation;;
a Brindillen noble Marseilles, or Marcy to everyone who will listen to him, is the only child of a set of old-blood Brindillen nobles. His mother passed away before he was even six, leaving him isolated with a father who was disappointed with his son and a family reputation that seemed impossible to actually uphold, He lives in the Maddox Manor in Bois, a set of buildings that is thankfully large enough to mostly avoid his father in. Marcy is completely uninterested in his inheritance, and has encouraged his father to name someone else heir since he was a child. His father refuses to relent, as he prizes blood relation above anything else, even his son's reputation. He has two private tutors right now that are basically the only lights in his life, a feisty boy named Antoinette teaching him reading and writing in Valise, and a quieter, sharp-tongued kid named Zyron teaching him basic arithmetic. |
trivia;;
-Marcy was born in Nyiri's homeworld and taken from it by his current parents -he doesn't know about this -his dad is super apathetic towards him usually because of the residual guilt -he's just always assumed he's a crappy dad -like Nyiri, he actually has an animal counterpart, an extension of his soul if you will -she is unfortunately still in his actual homeworld -he's always fidgeting and uncomfortable because he is unconsciously yearning for her -she's a cassowary and the Meanest Bird ever tbh |
fun facts;;
(because this doesn't fit anywhere else)
Marcy was born in Nyiri's homeworld, which is fundamentally a parallel world to this one. He doesn't remember this, mostly because he was kidnapped when he was only four. His father here was sterile and refused to consider adoption, and so hired what was effectively a witch/demon/magician. This 'person' tore a hole in reality, and allowed his parents to venture into Nyiri's world. They located this version of themselves and took from them their child, then insisted the entity they hired make it impossible for someone to come back through.
(The entity didn't actually do this but got paid extra for the lie, so considered them even.)
But Marcy wasn't their son, no matter how hard they tried to make him. He remembered weird, vague things from his world that made no sense in this one; and he remembered too a vastly different childhood than what was presented to him. His mother's guilt overwhelmed her and when she took sick one winter she never made a recovery. His father, left alone with the son that was not his, forced distance between them but kept Marcy at the manor nonetheless. Marcy rarely sees his father anymore, and frankly prefers it that way.
