theme song;; Woman King by Iron & Wine
personality;;
When Sefina thinks of her childhood, she thinks of the sun; but when she thinks of home, she remembers the dark. She will always be more comfortable with the latter now, considering the years spent underground, and she was a way about her when she walks in the sun that she drifts from one shadow to another, an absent hand shielding her eyes, her tail swishing in her agitation. She infrequently deals with mortals but when she does she gives them her whole attention, an intimidating thing indeed; she has a focus about her that is wild, her smiles always a little too sharp, her small, quiet voice a little too bitter. In the stories she was mild and gentle and affectionate to her people; but these days she is none of those things. When someone gains her favor she leaves them a boon of her making, a new flower, a fruit tree that forever bears fruit; but she is as cruel as she is sympathetic, and it is not unusual for her to leave poisonous things in her wake, fruits that wake an insatiable hunger, blooms that draw wasps to the soft walls of your house.
She is very grudging and does not forgive nor forget, and first impressions are mostly all she gives people. She's mostly interested in people who are not afraid of her, those who have a spark of something that she recognizes in herself, a flicker of godhood in a mortal chest. These people she keeps an eye on, and she can become protective of them should she feel another manipulating their way. While she does not talk of her family or the council of gods she hails from, she curses them when they meddle in her affairs. She is quick to anger and slow to calm. She's used to being worshipped and is disconcerted when people do not respond to her as she thinks they should; but she also always finds these independent few her favorites. Sefina is infrequently gentle and rarely touches mortals, but she is accompanied often by deer, and these she touches freely. She weaves flowers into their antlers and the tufts of their pelts, and she has a favorite one that seems to find her wherever she goes. She calls this doe Minthe.

woman king, sword in hand
swing at some evil and bleed
occupation;;
honestly why would anyone think this woman has an actual job She functions as something of a vigilante, but Sefina does this of her own volition and doesn't consider it a 'job'. She also isn't very dependable; she rarely looks for crime, but will interrupt what she comes across. She carries a leather bag heavy with gold coins at her waist, and when she's killed someone she will slot a coin between their teeth as payment for the ferryman. She doesn't think of this as murder but rather putting souls where they deserve to go. She never hurts those who she feels unjustified in killing. She is strong and long and lithe, and despite her translucent glass legs she packs a hell of a kick. The 'glass' renders her legs abnormally strong and somewhat impenetrable, and so she can deal a surprising amount of damage from a single blow. Her horns, built of the same material, function in a similar way. While Sefina generally thinks headbutting criminals is beneath her, she has occasionally been known to do so. The horns can skewer things (and people) quite easily. She regularly stays in Mikena, at the behest of Clytemnestra, who has lent her a room at the castle. Sefina doesn't really use it but she is seen coming and going quite often. She rarely talks to anybody outside the queen and her advisers, although she has shown interest in Medea and Bahiti. pets;; Not necessarily a pet, but Sefina is regularly accompanied by a plain white-tailed doe she calls Minthe. Minthe seems a regular animal for all of her friendliness for Sefina, and often leans against her hip or leg. Sefina likes to toss flower crowns onto her head or over her shoulders and flanks, and Minthe tolerates it all good-naturedly. |
trivia;;
-she's legitimately a god, Persephone to be precise -her real story differs some from the mythology; she took the throne from Hades firstly, and she certainly never married him -she generally doesn't much like men -she doesn't really have a home, and mostly sleeps in the woods -she's accompanied almost everywhere by at least one deer -sometimes a whole herd of them -she speaks a whole mess of languages but is most comfortable with Greek -fun fact; she is the only person who can understand Acriens' old variation on Greek -she goes by Sefina but will involuntarily jerk her head if someone says Persephone -she is most comfortable under the open sky -she leaves gifts to people who surprise/please her -mostly these are incredible plants and sometimes spies |
