Zyron's childish belief of the good in people faded when they were still very young. Their ignorance of the cruelty of the world was taken advantage of; and Zyron was stolen from their family and sold into a kind of slavery. Now they are prickly, blunt, defensive; they never trust people, not until they have the proper evidence that someone might deserve it. They're constantly on their toes, expecting something bad to happen, someone to betray them again. Unsurprisingly they don't make friends very easily. They're not particularly rude but they do tell it like it is, and they have no hesitation about speaking a hard truth, so they're not especially popular either. When someone is nice to them they analyze the interaction for any sign of an ulterior motive. They are most at home alone or with only a few people, and yearn for the freedom of the sky and the sea. They get antsy if they are grounded for too long. When they were twelve and met Solomon and Sylvan they finally allowed someone into their confidence. They trust Solomon implicitly now, but are still reluctant with others.
While Zyron doesn't believe in people blindly anymore they are extremely protective over those few they consider theirs, such as their adoptive dad and any friends they've made among the crew or at Maddox Manor. They are fearless in a fight despite their diminutive size, and have no qualms about doing something underhanded to ensure a victory. They don't particularly like being touched and they will physically retreat if someone reaches for their shoulders. Their wings are quite fragile, and Zyron is protective of them. If they've promised something they will make it happen, no matter the cost. They treat promises as a sacred pact, and do not have good opinions over anyone liable to break one. They can get a bit overwhelmed sometimes, with people or just everything around them, and will retreat to the wildest place they can find. They like to climb up into trees and lay among the branches, for there is something about it that reminds them of their lost family. They are prone to quietude and have done a mostly successful job in keeping their head down, maintaining the status quo right up until they understood the force of nature that was Marcy.

occupation;;
currently? wreaking havoc/runaway slave kind of general aide on Solomon's ship right now a low-key math tutor! Zyron was taken from their family when they were very young. They don't remember much of it anymore, their father and siblings sometimes; they know only the kingdom who stole them, who put them in shackles and made them a slave. Zyron took matters into their own hands and escaped as soon as they were able, feigning that their wings were injured, their spirit broken. They spent two years moving from ship to ship, searching for somewhere safe, for someone who might know them; but eventually they landed on Solomon and Sylvan's ship (at 12 y/o), and they've stayed with them now for six years. Right now they're working a tutoring job at Maddox Manor in Brindille, at Solomon's behest. He was worried that someone saw Zyron's wings recently, during the fight that Sylvan was killed in; and while he works feverishly to uncover if that person has yet told anyone else, he's sent Zyron away to keep them safe. Zyron has little interest in tutoring anyone but is very smart, and has so far managed to not make any waves. |
trivia;;
-Zyron will not give anyone their full name; 'Zyron' alone is the most you will get -they do not promise things lightly, for they won't break a promise for anything -the ribbon in their hair is their final tie to their father, Cyka -their wings are very fragile, and resemble an insect's more than a bird's -they cannot fly if their wings get wet -they are very careful about always keeping them tucked away -Zyron can flatten their wings entirely to the curve of their back -if you've ever seen Zyron's wings consider yourself very lucky -they mostly keep them to themself; pretty much nobody knows they're winged except for Solomon |
